7 Sustainable Surf Swimsuits for Women

All women who surf are far too familiar with the struggle to find a suit that actually stays on while surfing, let alone one that’s also made sustainably.

Here’s a list of brands that have got you covered—- literally.

7 Sustainable Surf Swimsuits for Women

Jolyn

A standard for swimmers and favorite for surfers, Jolyn has built up quite the reputation as a quality brand for athletes who want swimwear that's actually functional.  From their selection of bikinis, to one pieces to long sleeve tops— it shouldn’t be hard to find your ideal suit.

Jolyn’s Recycled Forever fabric is used in a large portion of their suits, with 51% of the fiber coming from recycled water bottles.

Their surfsuits are made from either SeaFlex and SurfTec, which are both made from 78%  regenerated nylon recycled from nylon waste like fishing nets, carpet flooring and industrial plastic. This means it can be recycled infinitely!

They are also made locally in California, and are committed to continuing to phase out any non earth-friendly materials in coming years.

Zucco swimwear is a small business operated and hand-sewn by Emily Zuccaro, who runs the whole thing. It’s the epitome of a small business committed to lessening the environmental impact and making cute suits.

While the bikini tops may be better for laying out, the boyshorts and bottoms would be an awesome choice for a surf.
